Dear Parent/Guardian,
The California Department of Education (CDE) began using a new method to give money to school districts called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). The LCFF gives money to school districts based on the needs of students, including English Learners, students who qualify for free or reduced meals, and foster youth. In order to determine how much money your school will receive this year to serve all our students, the District is required to verify and submit to the CDE every student's family income eligibility based on the Household Income Data Collection form.
Because of this, the District is urging our families to please complete the enclosed 2024-25 Household Income Data Collection Form and return it to your school as soon as possible.
EVERY FORM COUNTS! EVERY UNCOLLECTED FORM EQUALS LOST DOLLARS TO SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS.
All information provided is completely confidential and will not be used for any other purpose. Please note the following:
- In your household, you may have more than one child attending schools in our district. Please include all the names of students who attend South Bay Union schools in one form.
